Today's Reading:  Is. 25-28; Heb. 13

Hebrews 13:  Hebrews 13 gives a list of traits and actions that Christians should exemplify.  It talks about hospitality (entertaining strangers), empathy (for the mistreated and prisoners), purity (honoring marriage and keeping the marriage bed pure) and  humility (being content with what one has).  It also talks about honoring leaders who have spoken into our life and walking in their example.  It is very practical advice and is just as encouraging for us today as it was for the early believers.

Lord, help us to speak your love through our actions and to shine as an example to the world around us.  Amen.

I like the reminder about hospitality towards strangers.  We're really blessed to live in a city where we always have new people coming through.  In order to grow a church in this city has to be excellent at hospitality :)
