Restoration, a word a hope!
In Psalms 80, Asaph compares the people of Israel to a vineyard God himself brought out of Egypt to a place of blessing and prosperity; however, things didn’t remain the same, instead, the vineyard was almost destroyed and everything that was intended for blessing was almost gone. The Scripture says that Asaph decided to come before the Lord in supplication to intercede for his people because God’s mercy was greater than their circumstances, and with His divine intervention, restoration could come to Israel “(Psalms 80:7). Many times we find ourselves in similar situations: We have been chosen by God, blessed, and prospered; however, circumstances and bad decisions put ourselves out of God’s will, we feel outcast, inadequate, and maybe unacceptable before God. Thank God, as Asaph, we can come before the Lord to find restoration.
Dear Lord, thank You because with you there is always hope for restoration. We come before you with the confidence that your mercies are new every day, so we can say like the Psalmist, “Restore us, O LORD God Almighty; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.

Miguel, I love this line that you wrote in your devo -"God's mercy was greater than their circumstance" Such a powerful, profound thought! I think too often we look at our circumstances without the perspective of the mercy of God. Thank God - "his mercies are new every morning" and we can stand in that confidence of total restoration!
